The NU Library
The Nazarbayev University Library first opened in the fall of 2010. Every week our collection grows by thousands of new materials, including books, CDs, periodicals and reference materials. The Library has also subscribed to a number of electronic resources.
English is the official language of instruction at NU, which is why library materials are mainly in English as well. However, we also have a growing collection of Kazakh and Russian literature. The NU Library purchases study materials based on recommendations from faculty members. Most materials added to our collection are from Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Pearson, McMillan, McGraw-Hill and other authoritative publishers.
The NU Library is open to all the students, faculty members and staff of NU, and its affiliates. Graduate students and staff members of other universities can contact the Library administration at firstname.lastname@example.org if they wish to receive a temporary visitor’s reading card.
For the convenience of our patrons, the Library is open 7 days a week:
Monday to Friday: 8.30 am - 9.45 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 11 am - 7.45 pm
The library is closed on national holidays. You may always check the library hours for the day on the top left corner of the webpage.
The Library is located in the main building of Nazarbayev University. Our address is:
