NU Library Newsletter
Summer Semester, June 2024

“Renewal is the principle — and the process — that empowers us

to move on an upward spiral of growth and change,

of continuous improvement.”

— Dr. Stephen R. Covey

Hello everyone!

As the academic year is now over, it's time for a well-deserved break to relax and recharge. Summer break offers the perfect opportunity to step away from academic work, unwind, and refuel our energy for the upcoming challenges. It's essential to take this time to rejuvenate and prepare for future endeavours.

We encourage you to make the most of this summer to rest and recharge your batteries to return refreshed and ready for the challenges ahead. Remember, taking time for yourself is just as important as your academic pursuits.

From all of us in the NU Library, we wish you a wonderful and refreshing summer break!

For those staying on campus during the summer semester, please note that our operating hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM. We will return to our standard hours in August: weekdays from 8:30 AM to 9:45 PM, and weekends from 11:00 AM to 7:45 PM.

SUMMER-ish... book quotes

"Come with me, Mom says. To the library. Books and summertime go together."

― Lisa Schroeder

"One benefit of Summer was that each day we had more light to read by."

― Jeannette Walls

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,

is by no means a waste of time."

― John Lubbock
