AI and Its Impact on Library Practice

On February 18, 2026, NU Library hosted the seminar “Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Library Practice.”

The seminar focused on the foundations of artificial intelligence and its growing role in modern library services. The program combined theoretical insights with practical discussion, helping participants bridge the gap between understanding AI concepts and applying them in professional settings. Key topics included AI literacy, ethical considerations in both professional and everyday contexts, the integration of AI into library operations, and issues related to privacy and responsible use.

The event welcomed colleagues from the KSU “Centralized Library System” of the Akimat of Astana, encouraging professional exchange and collaboration.
