On May 5, 2026, the NU Library hosted the presentation of the book “Advancements in Underground Infrastructures” by Dr. Saffet Yagiz, Professor at the Department of Mining Engineering, School of Mining and Geosciences, NU.
The event introduced an insightful publication exploring advanced modelling tools, experimental techniques, and data-driven approaches used in underground infrastructure development, with a focus on enhancing the safety and stability of underground structures. The book also highlights innovative technologies and the application of circular economy principles in underground engineering.
Following the presentation, a copy of the book was donated to the NU Library collection. We are sincerely grateful to Professor Saffet Yagiz for this valuable contribution and for sharing his expertise with the NU community.
We sincerely thank everyone who attended the event!
