Eurasian Academic Libraries Training (EALT) 2024: Recaps

From December 2 to 6, 2024, Nazarbayev University Library, in collaboration with the Association of University Libraries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hosted EALT-2024. The event's main goal was to enhance librarians' professional skills and promote collaboration within the library community of Kazakhstan.

The training welcomed 49 specialists from 22 organizations, including universities, schools, and libraries across Kazakhstan. Key topics covered included the use of artificial intelligence, research support, electronic resource management, and improving student well-being.

Speakers included librarians, faculty members, and colleagues from the NU Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning, as well as partners from Wiley and Elsevier. Participants appreciated the practical value of the program, which included master classes, group discussions, library tours, and visits to the NURIS laboratory.

The highlight of the event was a roundtable, where participants exchanged experiences, proposed future training ideas, and expressed gratitude for the well-organized program.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful event for Kazakhstan’s library community!
