This one-hour session will provide practical insights into the advanced features of JSTOR that support scholarly research and teaching at higher levels. It is particularly designed for faculty and library professionals who already have a basic understanding of the JSTOR platform.
What you will learn Participants will gain advanced strategies for using JSTOR effectively, including:
Exploring JSTOR to better understand scholarly discourse around a topic
Leveraging JSTOR’s Research Tool to quickly assess the value of a source for a specific research question
Browsing a wide range of content formats now available on JSTOR, such as:
research reports
book chapters
documents
audio and video
images and panoramas
Using the JSTOR Workspace to save, organize, and share resources for teaching and research
Additional Information Please note that the more basic uses of JSTOR for research are covered in our webinar: An introduction to research on JSTOR offering earlier this year and is now available on YouTube. This one hour webinar is appropriate for library professionals and faculty who are responsible for teaching and doing research on a more advanced level. It presumes a basic understanding of the JSTOR platform as discussed in the introductory webinar. Ample time will be allotted to ask questions of JSTOR experts.
The upcoming webinar will focus on advanced use cases and will include ample time for Q&A with JSTOR experts.
