Supporting Teaching & Research: NU Library Orientation for New Faculty
The NU Library hosted Orientation Sessions for new faculty members to introduce key services, resources, and support opportunities for teaching, research, and academic work. During the sessions, participants explored the library’s main service areas and learned how to effectively use library tools and platforms.
The program featured the Teaching & Learning Support Office (information literacy training, liaison librarian support, LibGuides, and course support), the Research Support Office (Open Access, copyright and licensing, journal selection, researcher profiles, and the NU Repository), and the E-Resources Management Office (e-textbooks and learning materials). It also included an overview of the Patron Services Office, covering library locations, collections, borrowing services, and study and collaboration spaces.
Each session was complemented by a library tour, allowing faculty to explore the library environment and become familiar with its facilities.
