Exploring Military Ethics: Book Presentation by Dr. Brian Smith

On February 20, 2025, the NU Library, in collaboration with the School of Sciences and Humanities at NU, hosted a thought-provoking book presentation of A History of Military Morals: Killing the Innocent by Dr. Brian Smith.

Dr. Smith, an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at SSH, NU, explored key themes from his book, including military ethics, historical perspectives, and the moral dilemmas of warfare. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Alexei Trochev, also an Associate Professor in the same department.

The event was mainly attended by SSH faculty members, sparking a dynamic and insightful exchange of ideas. As a generous contribution, a copy of the book was donated to the NU Library, further enriching our collection on military ethics and international relations.
