NU Library Expert Shares Inclusion Practices at SDU Inclusion Week

From 17 to 19 February, Ziyat Abdykaimov, Expert for Assistive Technologies and Accessibility at the NU Library, participated in SDU Inclusion Week in Kaskelen at the invitation of SDU University.

During the week, he delivered a session titled “Inclusive University: Access to Information, Technologies, and Educational Content,” addressing systemic approaches to accessibility in higher education. The session covered information accessibility, adaptation of learning materials, assistive technologies, and practical strategies for reducing barriers in academic environments.

Ziyat also met with students with special educational needs and their parents at the Office of Inclusive Education, where they discussed academic challenges, digital accessibility, and support practices at Nazarbayev University and internationally. In recognition of his contribution to SDU Inclusion Week, he was presented with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Rector of SDU University.
