NU Library Introduces Assemgul Temirkhanova as Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Assemgul Temirkhanova as Library Director.

Assemgul Temirkhanova has over 20 years of experience in the library and information field. She has contributed to the development of two libraries built from the ground up: Nazarbayev University Library, where she served as Head of Department and later as Acting Director from 2017 to 2021, and Riviera International School Library, where she worked as Head Librarian, supporting the IB curriculum and promoting academic integrity.

Assemgul holds a degree in Education and is a recipient of the Edmund S. Muskie Scholarship in Library and Information Science. Her professional expertise includes library management, collection development and acquisitions, academic integrity, and library technologies.

NU Library warmly welcomes Assemgul Temirkhanova in her new role and looks forward to continued growth, innovation, and meaningful engagement with the University community under her leadership.
