Short loan collection
The Nazarbayev University Library provides Short Loan service for limited materials to support learning, teaching and research activities of students, researchers, and staff and to ensure that essential materials are available to all who need them.
Short Loan (reserves) - materials given for short loan period (2 hours or overnight) upon Faculty or researcher request during the semester or another period of time.
Request Short Loans
Researchers* can submit the request form.
Faculty should contact a Subject Librarian.
*NU students and staff who work on research projects
Borrow & Return
Check the list of short loan materials.
Borrow or renew Short Loan materials for 2 hours at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd/3rd floor to use in the Library only, OR
Borrow Short Loan materials for overnight two hours before the Library closes. The materials must be returned until 11 a.m. on the following day.
Visitors and temporary users can not borrow Short Loan materials for overnight.
