Week of Women

“Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”


Dear NU Community,

Annually in March, as part of International Women's Day celebration, the NU Library, in partnership with the Consortium of Gender Scholars (GenCon), and NU schools and student associations commemorates the Week of Women (WoW). This week supports a global campaign to raise awareness of women's rights, highlight the importance of combating gender-based prejudices, and create a more inclusive and gender-equal world. The week-long program includes a series of activities:

#BreakTheBias Movement

Join the #BreakTheBias movement on social media where you can express your solidarity in the fight against stereotypes, inequality, and discrimination against women. 

  • Take a photo with your arms crossed IWD 2022 #BreakTheBias

  • Share an image, video, link, presentation or article on social media

  • Use the hashtags #BreakTheBias #NUWoW2022

  • As a bonus, you can get a discount at the 6inch coffee shop:
