School of Library Technologies - 2022

The Nazarbayev University Library and The Association of University Libraries in the Republic of Kazakhstan organized the seminar for academic libraries' staff within the framework of the annual School of Library Technologies (SLT) for professional training and development. The theme of 2022 was Contemporary academic library: management, resources, technologies and services.

The objectives of SLT are as follows: 

- Improve skills to meet the modern requirements to academic libraries’ work

- Training in advanced technologies and tools for improvement of the information and library support of the research and educational activities of the university.

- Guide in project management and use of marketing tools in library activities.

- Instruct in basics on information and educational inclusion for development of library and information environment accessible for different patrons.

 The topics discussed some areas of the library practice:

- library impact on the university academic anresearch success;

- data governance;

- inforamtion and education inclusion;

- project manmagement;

- marketing tools.
