The Association of Libraries of Higher Education Institutions was founded in 2012 at the initiative of a group of university library directors from the Republic of Kazakhstan. They shared a common goal: to promote the development and support of effective library and information services in higher and postgraduate education, while protecting and advancing the professional interests of library specialists.
