Using the Library
Book Delivery
The Book Delivery Service allows users to request books between the Main Library and the School of Medicine Library.
  • Request Procedure
    1. Find the book: search through the library catalog. Pay attention to the available copies and location.
    2. Fill in the "Book Delivery" form.
    3. Borrow the book after receiving the notification by e-mail.
    4. Books can be returned via the Circulation Desk on the 2nd and 3rd floors in the main library and the 7th floor at the NUSOM.
  • Service Policy
    • Service is only available for the NU Community.
    • The requested items will be delivered on Thursdays and borrowed from 4 pm.
    • You will be notified by email about the status of the order.
    • Requests submitted after 12:30 pm on Thursday will be processed and delivered the next Thursday.
    • The maximum request allowance per week is 3 copies for one person.
    • The service does not cover unavailable titles (0 out of 1).
    • Items will be held for 3 days at the pick-up library. After that time, unclaimed items will be shipped back to the owning library.
    • Patrons who don’t pick up a requested item will be banned from the service for one month. A second offense will result in a six-month ban.
    • The borrowing period is according to the library rules.
    • Periodicals, videos/DVDs, audiobooks, and maps are excluded from this delivery service.

    • 4 pm

    Hours are subject to change during study breaks and national holidays.
