Find the perfect space to study, collaborate, meet, or just relax. We offer individual, group, collaborative, and quiet spaces; bookable and food-free areas; and 24/7 access. To ensure the rooms meet your expectations, please refer to the detailed descriptions.

Types of Spaces
Reading Rooms
The reading rooms are designed as large, all-access, self-service areas designated for individual study. These common spaces include open shelves to provide free access to the majority of our collections but also desks, scanners, and outlets.

Collaborative Spaces
The collaborative spaces are less traditional, conversation-friendly zones in the library where you can work by yourself or as part of a group. These areas can be used to talk on the cell phone.

For collaborative work on projects, please consider Group Study rooms that have additional equipment such as mediascape tables, glass writing panels, and whiteboards.

Rooms are available on regular hours; however, some areas are open 24/7*.

Policy of Use
  • Reading rooms are "living" and can not be reserved.
  •  ID is required to enter and remain in the rooms at night.
  • The low conversation is welcome; however, be mindful of those working around you.
  • Groups are encouraged in collaborative spaces, however, be considerate towards people nearby; keep conversations at a reasonable volume.
  • Use headphones when listening to music or watching videos.
  • Put your cell phone on vibrate. Keep phone conversations quiet and brief, or step out of the room.
  • It is strictly forbidden to move furniture at will. If there is a need, please notify the librarian.
  • For your safety, it is strictly prohibited to remove electrical outlets.
  • Clear belongings from the space, making it available to use when leaving a seat for more than one hour. Do not leave belongings to reserve a study space.
  • Snacks and covered drinks are allowed.
  • Leave the space tidy when you go: materials and personal items left unattended may be removed by library staff; books with the status “borrowed” may be taken off the patron’s account.
  • The Library accepts no responsibility for loss of personal items.
  • The library reserves the right to revoke permission to use the room in the case of non-compliance with these policies.
  • Problems, concerns or policy violations may be reported to the Library front desk.
